Day 7 – Travel to Taipei

Originally we wanted to wake up at 5am or so to walk the bicycle trail to catch the sunrise but in the end we were too tired so didn’t go in the end. So after eating breakfast we just slack in the room until it was time to check out. We took the 11am bus to Taipei. Bought the ticket for NT$400?  The bus journey was around 3hr plus. We finally reached the last stop which is Taipei main station. It took a while for us to find out hotel.


Buy the bus ticket to Taipei at the visitor centre, I would recommend that you buy early, like buy the ticket once you reach Sun Moon Lake. There are assigned seats for the bus ticket and don’t lose it as they will collect it at the end of the bus journey if I’m not wrong.

The hotel that we stayed in for the rest of the trip is Cityinn hotel branch 3.  Their service is really good and the hotel environment is not bad as well. They provide 2 computers for usage and washing machines and dryers to wash your clothes. To get to the hotel, exit from Exit Y7; turn right and then turn left and walk straight all the way. You will pass by 50岚 & 7-11. The hotel is just opposite the KFC so you just have to cross the road, and the Cityinn hotel branch 2 is just beside only.  

We went to the underground mall at Taipei Main station, two long stretches of shops and it can link all the way to Zhongshan metro mall. The bookstore and music store is around that area.
