Day 10 – Fu Hang Dou Jiang, Shi Fen, Jiu Fen & Ningxia night market

We went to try Fu Hang Dou Jiang in the morning. Reached around 10am plus and there’s already a long queue. Waited around 40mins before it’s our turn. The food is really nice but quite salty though.

Getting there: Shandao Temple MRT station (善導寺站), Exit 5. The building is right next to the station exit. Look for the sign “華山市場” (Hua Shan Market) at the entrance of the building.
Opening Hours: Tues-Sun 5:30am~12:30pm; Closed on Monday

Today we went Shi Fen & Jiu Fen. Took MRT to Taipei main station then change to TRA to Ruifang station. The train fare can all be paid by easycard so no need buy any train ticket. The journey to Ruifang station is like 1hr plus.

After you reached Ruifang station you have to change platform to go to Shi fen. At Shifen is where you can put the sky lantern. We didn’t put the sky lantern so we just took lots of photos. To get to jiu fen, you have to go back to Ruifang station and take a bus from there. The bus stop used to be opposite welcome mart but it has changed its location to beside the police station. So when you walk out of Ruifang station, you will see the bubble tea shop – 超大杯, turn left when you reached the bubble tea shop and then walk straight all the way until you see a bus stop. You can take bus 788 which will bring you all the way to 九份老街. Not sure where to alight then just ask the bus driver, he will tell you where to alight. There is mostly food stuff, so you can have your lunch there. Try the popia ice cream, it’s really nice.

We went Ningxia night market at night. It is located near our hotel. Take mrt to shuanglian station then exit from exit 1. Turn left and walk straight all the way, just need to cross one pedestrian crossing. It was quite a disappointment to me. It only sells food and it is just a small cramp street. I don’t really find the food there nice, or maybe I just didn’t get to eat those nice foods there.
