Day 12 – Xiao Ju Dan, Yong Kang
street, Shi da ye shi
I have always wanted to go Xiao
ju dan to watch a concert but nope, I didn’t watch a concert but went to ice
skate instead haha. Dawn wasn’t feeling well so she just chill at Mr Brown café
while I went to skate.
I bought the student price ticket. 2hrs for NT$150. They
provide skates, knee guards and helmet. It’s compulsory to wear gloves and
helmet when you enter the ice rink. Unless you’re the member then you do not
need to wear the helmet. It was quite spacious cause no crowd but it gets
rather bored after a while when you skate alone. So I would recommend that you
go with your friends. The weather was rather cold today. It felt like heaven
when I drank the corn soup from Mcdonald’s haha.
Getting there: Take
the mrt to Nanjing East station, turn right then turn left and walk along the
path then turn left and walk straight all the way till you see the building
then cross the road.
After that we went to Yong Kang Street.
We even went to eat mango shaving at smoothie house even though it’s cold.
Bought the mango shaving for NT$170, it’s really nice, no regret but I started
to shiver when we left the shop. We wanted to eat Din Tai Feng at Yong kang
street but the queue was long so in the end we went to find a café to have our
lunch. We found a café called Next Door. The food was not bad, you can go there
try if you want. The price is reasonable as well.
Yongkang Street is situated near Exit 5 of 東門
(Dongmen) Station

Evening time we went over to Shi
da ye shi. The night market isn’t very big so you are able to walk finish. We were still full from
our late lunch so we didn’t try the food at the night market.
Getting there: Taipower Metro Station (台电站) (green line). Take exit (3). Just walk straight after exiting from exit 3.

There’s a bakery near Shi da ye
shi, we got attracted by the smell so we went to buy the bread for supper or
our breakfast for tomorrow, it’s really nice. I think the bakery is called 一之轩 (www.ijysheng.com.tw) If you’re a fan of eating bread
maybe you can try their bread.
